Nak Cuti Ke Mana Ye?

Does anyone has any recommendations for a holiday resort locally in Malaysia that is children friendly? We are planning for our holiday next year. And Hubby doesn't want to go abroad since Aaryan is still quite young and it would be a handful travelling with both kids. (nampak gaya angan-angan nak pi Hong Kong kena postpone lah ni..bummer!). Anyhow, I've been looking around for some cozy places that we can go next year. By then Aaryan would grow up a lil bit more. For the time being our options are pretty much limited. Langkawi is definitely out since we went there early this year. So other options that we have is either Penang, Cherating or perhaps Sabah/Sarawak. No island trips for us, since we can't enjoy much and takleh nak turun pi snorkelling (although this is our favorite activity time berdua dulu :p) since we won't be having any Bibik around to look after the kiddos.

For now, I've only checked out two places. First option is Club Med Cherating. A lil bit on the pricey side (a whole lot la actually). For a 2 nights stay for all 4 of us, that will costs us around RM2700 (baik mek pi holiday over the sea kot :p). That price is incluvise of room rates, taxes, surcharges, gourmet meal all through-out the day, sports and activities. Kira its an all-inclusive price package la. Unless kalo nak add on spa treatment or Kiddy Activity for Nia, then we'll have to pay extra. Googled for some reviews for the resort and seems pretty promising. But I remember reading a blog somewhere (last year) that they had some problems during check-in. I'm a lil bit reserved on this kind of resorts actually - those yg mat salleh oriented. Sebab selalunye, the treatment that they give to a foreign traveller and a local visitor usually differs. But I shall reserve that judgement until I can see it for myself.

Second option that I've checked out tapi rasenye takleh proceed is Pangkor Laut. Huhuhu. Oh-so-awesome resort. But I think this is more suitable for honeymooners kot. One thing yg rasa 'bahaya' skit is the open air shower. Kang ade jugak yg si Nia terkezot kalo ternampak mommy or babah showering nanti. LOL. Tak ke naye. But if it's just for the 2 of us, this would definitely be in my list. Romantic gitew u ols. Bercanda underneath the moon, anyone? *naughty grin*

Another one that I like is Shangri-La Golden Sands Resort Penang. I know the hotel is pretty nice, they have a huge pool, the beach is white and sandy, and ade activity site for kids - which I know Nia will enjoy very much. But we've been here before for Family Day last year with Kerang and I feel like rugi la if we repeat going to the same place twice!

So, I'm open if anyone has any other suggestions. My requirements would be, nice+comfortable+clean+spacious room. Kids friendly. Huge pool. Anything in mind? Please let me know ya wahai rakan-rakan. Sabah/Sarawak suggestions are also welcome kalo dah takde yg kat Peninsular ni. I'm sure Malaysia has something nice to offer, cuma tak tahu je kat mana. Do share with me if you and your family have been anywhere fun and nice. It might be worth checking out.

i know i've only been back to the office baru nak masuk 3 weeks...tapi tangan dah gatal duk start tengok holiday package kat airasia...kuang kuang kuang...tak kisah la...nak jugak share ini....

saje buat random googling....don't you love doing this...simply masuk any airlines website and tengok holiday package punye price range....for all you know, if you're lucky and so happen tengah ade promotion, dapat la good bargain....and this is what happened today...ekekek....

pagi ni saja la masuk airasia...fireflyz and mas takde promo yg menarik now...so i skip them...actually duk tengok flight ticket nak balik johor bahru bulan october ni...saja this time kami anak beranai gatai takmo drive....we decided to fly back sahaja....sebab si Nia teringin sangat nak naik plane again...tambah plak aritu pi amik Babah dia yg baru balik outstation kat Manila...lagi la sibuk dia duk mintak...so, Babah nye, layankan aje la....tu yg jadi kisah tengok website Airasia ni...then, saja la gatai tangan nak tengok international tickets...I've always wanted to take Nia to Hong Kong for a trip....so i checked the price range...tengok pi Perth, mahai la plak....hotel and flight sampai RM7k...tak jalan lar....tengok Hong Kong....danggg...RM3600 all inclusive price siap air flight ticket for all 4 of us...and 4 nights stay kat Dorsett Regency Hotel Hong Kong....not bad ni...its a 4-star hotel...menarik menarik....tapi travel period lambat skit la...this is in September 2012...September tu season ape ek kat HongKong?...sezok ke panas?...have to check that....rasa cam gatai tapak tangan dah ni...tapi apakan daya....takleh nak beli lagi...kena tengok calendar kurja kat opis ni dulu...if the travel period is not during my peak period....wahhh...cergas nampak gaya nanti....(kena pujuk sang Suami dulu ni nampak gaya nye..thee hee hee)

so, hopefully, I can get the Run & Maintain schedule for my process area for next year....cepat dapat, cepat bole plan cuti...Hong Kong, here we come....(angan angan...*wink*...)

Holiday-holiday Malaysia

Before take off, Little Miss sangat teruja dapat naik luggage trolley at the airport.

Tu lah kan, jakunness cos ini first time dia nak naik plane.

And we've been preparing here for almost 2 weeks that we'll be going on a plane, and that it might be a lil bit noisy.

Takut jugak kang dia start buat drama dalam flight. Lucky she was a gem all thru.

So boleh la jadi evidence to Nia when dia dah besar nanti, yg kecik2 lagi dia da naik plane.

Second day we were there and Little Miss was sooo tired.
I was a lil bit kiasu and drafted a complete itenary for the whole of our 4 days stay.
Sampai to the minute hokehhh the activities.
Mahu tak balik hotel, sume pengsan kepenatan.
Alhamdulillah, we managed to get a good bargain for our ride there.
MYR180 for an auto MyVi for 4 days. Not bad eyh.
We budgetted MYR300 for our ride.
Almost half off.

One of the main activity at the hotel harus la berendam kat pool yg super besar tu with the bikini clad minah sallehs. Ha-Ha.
But, before that, kena la solat dulu kan.

Overall, we had fun fun fun! Insya Allah, ada rezeki, kite pergi lagi next time.

Selamat Bercuti!

I am officially on leave from tomorrow onwards for a whole one week. Sepatutnye start minggu depan baru cuti. Tapi esok I claimed for my time off in lieu after having to slave and working night and day for the past 2 weeks. Dapat claim 8 hours equivalent for a whole day off. Bliss! So selamat bercuti and will try to update as often as I can!

Hello 2011

Good morning all.....bet everyone had a good long weekend....so how did you celebrate your new year?..for our little family, we didn't really celebrate it much....similar to previous years, we normally don't go out during new year's eve....i hate the crowd and the traffic jams....sometimes, we'll go out at 11.30pm and park our car at the roadside to watch the fireworks....but this year, we didn't even do that....we decided to stay home - lagipon Nia dah selamat terbungkam atas katil.....and both of us decided to watch the fireworks on the TV instead...dah ade tv besar gabak tu, tgk la kan....kalo tak rugi je...ahhaha....tapi indah kabar dari rupa, instead of kitorg tgk fireworks, tv tu yg tgk kitorg balik kot...both of us were fast asleep when midnight strikes....my mom came into the tv room at 12.15am and woke both of us up ckp gi lar masuk tido lam bilik...new year fireworks pon dah abes....ceisss..melepas nak tengok dentam dentum bunga api....haihh...oo well.....Insya Allah next year ade lagi....ehehehe....and it'll be extra special with Junior No.2 around by then...ok la....wishing all of you lovelies out there, Happy 2011...and may all of us be blessed and have a superblicious time all year round!

Porte Dickson

Teruja! Esok we're heading out to Port Dickson early in the morning for 4 days. It's a family holiday with my in laws who are all coming down from Johor. We're staying at Maybank's holiday bungalow and I hope that the place is nice and cozy. From the Google picture, it looks pretty decent. And of course, what's a beach holiday if we don't have any BBQ, right. Since the bungalow already consists of a BBQ pit, all we need to bring is marinated food direct to the grill.

So, wind, sand and water, here we come!

SBZ - LGK - SBZ

For the past 2 days, I've been logging into Fireflyz website countless times. Rasa stress macam nak tarik-tarik rambut pon ada cos everytime I tried to book their holiday package, I kept on getting an error message suruh key in the credit card number again. Despite trying 3 different credit cards, sama jugak. Then I tried 3 different laptops, sama jugak. Tried at the office, sama jugak. At home, sama jugak. All the same error. Called their Call Centre - lucky the waiting period was rather short unlike AirAsia. Tapi they advisor can't help me much. They checked and confirmed that the system is up and running and since I am trying to book a package deal, they won't be able to perform the booking manually over the phone for me since the booking needs to be connected online with the hotel's system as well. Arghhh. Nak book directly with the hotel - mahal la pulak harganya. Tapi after much effort and feeling like dah almosttttt nak give up (tinggal la dalam 5% je lagi before I start shouting to Fireflyz) tetiba jeng jeng jeng.......kluar message cakap, your booking is successful - and please print out the booking details and itenary. Whoaaaaa.....rasa mcm keterujaan melampau....yer la, after 2 days of trying, feels like as though I just hit a jackpot or something...hahahaahah.....

Makanya, where are we going and when are we going? Not too far - domestic je...Only to Langkawi....just the 3 of us.....no invitation extended to other people....Fahmi really wants this holiday to be about us this time without having any other people tagging along....Since this might as well be the last time we will go on a holiday just the 3 of us before no.4 pops out soon...(opppsss....yesss....thats a different story all together....:-P)....

So, for MYR1,345.32, we secured ourselves 3 return tickets (2 adults and 1 infant) on Fireflyz from Subang - Langkawi - Subang and a 4 days 3 nights stay at the Holiday Villa Langkawi Beach Resort with daily warm breakfasts....I think it's not so bad....it's a 4* hotel, with a huge pool and a jacuzzi and a spa with a clean white sandy beach front (from the google pictures)....read thru some of the online reviews and most of it is pleasant and nice.....so, fingers crossed that we've made the right selection this time....

So keterujaan melampau, can't wait for January 2011....thats the date for our trip....yeayy....in the meantime, have to start saving $$$....mak nak borong pinggan Corelle ni kat Langkawi....ekekekeke.....till then...toodles!!~

If this is your last Ramadhan..........

Andai kata this is your last Ramadhan...

I came across the above statement last night on FB....tetiba tercuit pulak rasenye....made me re-think back, on how I have spent my Ramadhan so far....banyak ke tidak beribadat nye.....byk ke tidak amalan nye...Did I take the oppurtunity to make full use of the blessed month?...haihh....memang betol la orang cakap....manusia tend to be so ignorant with benda-benda keduniawi...And I am also to be blamed as one of them....Astaghfirullahalazim....

Silently I hope that this will not be my last Ramadhan...Harap-harapnye, I still have countless Ramadhan with my families....ample time for me to redeem myself....and to multiply my ibadah...this year terawikh pon not really - with Semek duk berpeluk kat kaki all the time...mengaji pon tak sempat nak khatam....although dapat la abeskan more juzu' compared to last year....instead, byk duk pk pasal preparation for Raya je...Masya Allah...isk...ape nak jadi nih...Harap-harap, next year would be better for me...Insya Allah...

Anyways, we're leaving for Kuala Terengganu tomorrow morning...excited jugakla...before bertolak, we plan to singgah and visit kubur arwah Abah...dah lama rasenye tak pergi ziarah kubur Abah....this time around, I plan to bring Nia along...so that she can have a look....Nia skarang dah kenal gambar Aki....everytime she looks at our family photos or kat Wan punye handphone wallpaper...sure akan cakap..."Aki!!!"...so cute...its a pity that she didn't get the chance to know Aki....else dia akan tahu how rock her Aki is...ehehe....

Anyways, enough ramblings for now...Selamat Hari Raya to all...Maaf Zahir & Batin from kami sekeluarga....for those who are driving, please drive safely....everyone wants to reach home safely and have a good time at the kampung...no speeding, seatbelts on and 15 mins break for every 2-hrs of driving....Safety First!!!

Nia's First Big Trip

On 1st May, Nia finally had her maiden big trip at 53 days old to go back to Batu Pahat, Johor. All this while, I've never really brought her out and about since she was too little. Kalau keluar pon, normally to go to the hospital. Sekali je Nia really went out, itu pon ke Starbucks kat Sunway Damansara je for 1.5 hours. Hehe. The morning untuk bertolak balik ke BP memang hectic. I never thought that such a tiny person can have so many things to pack. Sebesar-besar boot kereta Abah, Nia punye barang was like 90% of it. Sebab barang mommy and Abah cuma 1 duffel bag je, itupon kitorg sharing. Now I know how hard it was for Mama to pack for all 5 of us kalau time nak balik raya kat Terengganu. Memang salute lah!! :p

Anyways, back in Batu Pahat, we had Nia's Akikah and Potong Jambul ceremony. Alhamdulillah, everything went superbly well. It was the first time I was involved in a 'merewang' activity cos all this while kalau kat KL, sume pon main cater je. Now baru la tahu the real erti merewang ni. Syiok jugak rupanya. Cos boleh ramai-ramai berkecoh-kecohan kat dapur buat kerja. Terasa la meriah nak buat kenduri untuk budak kicik ni. Kenduri nye dibuat at night, we started off with the recital of Yassin, and a simple tahlil. Then baru la marhaban and acara untuk potong jambul Nia yg mahal ni. Hehe. Although banyak jugak kena cantas, but rambut Nia still boleh maintain tercacak malam tu. We decided not to shave her head bald. Kesian lah. Nia kan princess. Ape kelasss rambut botak kan. Hehe. We stayed in Batu Pahat for a week. Kasik chance Nia beramah tamah ngen sedara-mara kat sana plak. Then on Thursday, we were off to Putrajaya for a quick holiday just the three of us.

Since it was Nia's first hotel stay, mommy ni super excited for Nia. Hehe. We stayed at Pullman Putrajaya Resort & Spa. The hotel was newly launched and not completely finished yet. The view was superb - we got a lake facing view. Memang cantik. But it was too hot for Nia to go out disebabkan weather 'summer' kat Malaysia ni. Abah nak swim kat pool pon tak jadi sebab panas sangat. The room memang best, katilnye besar, so Nia can sleep in between us. But they were nice enough to actually provide us with a baby cot with no extra charge. Masuk bilik je the cot was already there. Impressive!

Then, Nia had her first trip to KLCC. Her first mall as well. At first risau jugak nak bawak. Yerla, with the swine flu going about. Tapi since kat KL ni takde case lagi, panjangkan langkah jugak la. Sampai ke KLCC je Nia tido. All throughout the time we were there, makcik kenit ni membuta. Elok masuk kereta nak balik la dia buke mata nak susu. Hish. Tak nampak la Nia how KLCC looks like. Hehe.

All in all, we had a good time bertiga last week. Nia took her trip pretty well. Slept the whole way on the highway. Now we're ready for our next trip. Maybe we can persuade Abah to drive us to Singapore the next time we go back to Batu Pahat. Mommy will make sure to get Nia's details updated in the passport, just in case Abah rajin nak bawak kite jalan-jalan again. *Wink*
