Pusat Akuatik Darul Ehsan

bersempena with the public holiday yesterday, we decided to do something a lil bit fun for Nia...yer la...lepas ni once Mommy dah start pantang, Nia pon kena pantang skali la with Mommy at home... takleh lar nak jalan-jalan on every weekend for 45 days.... since, Babah dia pon dah promised to her that he will take her swimming, we decided to go to Pusat Akuatik Darul Ehsan Shah Alam.... we've been hearing good reviews about the place.... my nieces and nephews are all regular patrons to this public pool... they've been taking swimming classes on every weekend and have been going since they are 3-4 years old... all the while, asal depa ajak, tak pernah plak teringin nak pi... so this time, I told Fahmi, let's try it out... tak cuba tak tahu... i'm not a big fan of huge crowds, so Sunway Lagoon is totally out of the picture... so it was either this place or pool at The Club, Bukit Utama... tapi itu we'll have to pay more la, since both of us are non-members... makanya, googled for some public reviews of the place and so far out of 5 blogs, all 5 have given the place a thumb's up... so, yesterday, off we went to Pusat Akuatik Darul Ehsan - awal gila hokehh...kol 8.45am dah terpacak kat ticketing kaunter...ahahah....talk about being kiasu!!...

Nia pon excited - despite kena kejut from her sleep, she's in good spirit and tak cranky at all... teruja nak swimming lar tu...nampak pool je da terjerit-jerit..hishhh...anyways, bought our ticket priced at MYR2.50/each for adults....children under 3yrs old is free of charge....at 9am sharp, the guards allow us to go in...my my my...that place is HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEe i tell u...the pool besakkkk gilakkk.... at first ingat nak amik entrance to indoor pool...skali abang ticket tu ckp, the shallowest corner for indoor would be 10ft deep...terus tak jadi...mek beli ticket outdoor ja la....i think the depth was around 4ft....ok la....the kiddie pool pon besar pon sadly it was closed for maintenance... else, it would've been more fun - cos siap ade slide bagai macam.... but after awhile, i realized the sun seems to be right smack on top of the kiddies pool....and it was pretty cool around the adult pool...so tak kisah la... Nia pon ade her arms float... i believe she enjoyed the outing very much.... she swam for a solid 2 hours...naik atas for 15mins recharge energy makan nasi lemak and drank a box of lychee drink... i didn't go into the water.... if i did i would've been like a penguin with this huge tummy....so Nia had all the fun with her Babah.... takpela... kasi bonding time daddy-doter skit...eheheh.....

so our review?...will we come back here?... i think we will...maybe not anytime soon - since i'm almost due... so Nia kena tunggu lepas mommy abes pantang la...then we can come here for a dip again....not bad for a public pool....although i do wish they can provide more seats around the area cos I saw many parents had to end up sitting on the floor sebab tak cukup kerusi...lucky for us we were quite early, so we get to hog 4 seats and a table...ehehhe...

It's Halloween Town

Nia had a Halloween Party at her play school (Tumble Tots) yesterday. All of us went and Nia dressed-up as a Witch. Somehow, despite all the struggles and a lot of wet tissues being used, I managed to paint a spider and a web on her face using my liquid eye-liner. Sorry ye - ini amateur in action. So the drawings pon takde la cantik mana. But ok la. Make do.

We had the usual activities in class. Learning the alphabet - story telling - arts - phonics - music and exercise. But this time around, we finished the activities a bit earlier, and had a mini party for the kiddies to eat nuggets and cocktail sausages prepared by the school. Afterwards, they get their chance in grabbing as much treats as they like from the 'treat corner'. There were lots of candies, sweets, chocolates and snacks. Nia was too occupied with eating (as she rarely gets to eat on her own) so Mummy had to help to fill up her treat pack. He-He-He.

All the kiddos came all dress-ed up. We had another witch in class, a fairy, a bumble bee, a pumpkin, a ballerina and a walking skeleton. He-He. All of them looked really cute in their costumes. Sadly, we didn't manage to get a class picture. Else, it would've been perfect. As the teachers dressed up as well.

I'm not too sure if Nia would have another chance to attend another Halloween Party next year, as we're not planning to continue her lessons at Tumble Tots come Jan onwards. Most likely we'll try to look for another play-school. Maybe Gymboree - have anyone tried this before - are they good? We'll see how it goes.

Fun Time with Nia: Water Slide

Last weekend, the weather was pretty warm....So happened, I also had my nephew and niece who came over and lepak at home with us....Thinking of activities that they can do, tetiba teringat balik at the big splash of pool that Nia got during her 1st birthday....So, I nagged and begged Mr Hubby to bring out the pool and pump it all up....After much pleading and a lot of 'pls pls pls pls pls prettttttyyyy plssssss Uncle Fahmi" --> from the kids la...hahah....he gave in and fired up....

So after dah isi air, the kids started to splash all over the lawn....that's when I came with an idea, why not we dismantle Nia's swing from the existing frame and just use the slide together with the pool....and here you go....the little girl, who doesn't seems to be scared at all, sliding away on the veryyyy slippery slide all the way down into the water....I was worried....in case she might fall or anything.....but the Babah is allllllll cool about it - typical daddies...huh!...and he even said, after this dia nak ajar Nia how to slide head-down.....haiyaaaa......NO NO NO....Mummy said, be safe....rather than be adventurous!!!

Trick or Treat

As usual, Nia went to her play-school on Sunday. Meeting up, learning, socialising and playing with kids at her own age. At the end of the class, the Teacher made an announcement that the school will be organizing a Halloween Party for the children on the 31st of October and they are to come to class in their own favorite Halloween costumes - and of course, Parents are also encouraged to be in costumes as well. So, this is going to be the first Halloween Party for all of us. Ha-Ha. Ye la...we're Malaysian, we never celebrate this kind of things. But just to humour and make sure Nia gets to join in the fun (its not like she understands what the whole thing is all about pon - all in the name of FUN FUN FUN!).. Makanya, Mummy pon kena la start mencari costumes for her...Lucky for us, last 2 weeks we went to Toys'r'Us and I noticed that they were selling a few outfits and decorative accessories for Halloween.

So pagi ni, login to (http://www.toysrus.com.my/) and found some pretty cute outfits that we can buy for Nia. Ade a few selections for Toddler Girls, but I just can't make up my mind yet. Hubby is all game to choose that Pumpkin outfit for her...Sangat adorable kan....but Nia is not as chubby as before dah....dah big girl....Mummy is more keen to go for the witch costume complete with a broom stick...What do you think? Is it too 'adult-looking' for her? I think its OK. But Hubby is worried in case she starts hitting her other friends using the broom-stick. Which she is more than capable of kalau time-time dia tengah hangin kus-kus. He He He. See how lah. We're gonna go to Ikano later tonight and see what they have. Else, I think 1Utama or maybe the outlet in Empire Gallery might have more options.

Nia Fell Off the Bed

berderau darah subuh smalam....cos Semek fell off the bed while I was in the shower getting ready to go to work at 5am....tgh brush gigi, tetiba dengar bunyik 'gedebuk'....berlari keluar toilet....rupanya she woke up and was trying to crawl over to the shower dengar bunyi air....despite the fact that i've put six huge pillows all around her...haihhh....meggigil ler lutut mummy and siap boleh bergenang air mata sama ngen Nia while she cried....*sigh*...now, mummy has decided that Nia can no longer sleep kat celah ketiak mummy when abah is not around...whatever it is, kena tido jugak dlm cot...

thank you to all those comforting comments and thoughts from other mommies and daddies kat facebook...at least i know, all of their babies pon jatuh katil jugak at one point...i'm just glad that nothing bad happened, no bruises, no benjol, no terseliuh ke ape....

apart from that....another 2 new tricks from Semek...

Nia can now 'Jiggy with It' everytime a song is played on Disney channel...siap terkinja² pulak badan dia...;-)...will try to take a video of her jiggying the next time dia buat

And...Nia pon dah pandai geleng kepala skarang...everytime dia dengar kita ckp 'leng leng leng tergeleng-geleng' harus laaa dia geleng kepala jugak....and last night, while having papayas, when i ask her, "do u want some more"?, nia said no by geleng kepala for the first time!!! hehhehe...

Gelak Ikhlas ke Berlakon ni?

Nia is 50 Days

How time flies. Sedar tak sedar, yesterday Baby Nia was exactly 50 days. Rasa macam baru je semalam kena tolak masuk dalam operation theatre when the doctor poked my back nak cucuk epidural tu. Hehe. Now, Nia dah learn a few things. She can smile. She can look at you directly to your eyes and trail you if you move. In fact, if she's in the mood, she can even give you a few giggles of her own - though it sounded more like gurgles of coos coming out from her. Tak kisah la. Yang penting, baby mommy ni da learn a lot of things.

Normally what we'll do is, we'll have chit-chat session in the afternoons. Sebab in the morning Nia suke tido. Hehe. Then, at night, Nia loves to play with her Abah. Itu bonding time yg mommy memang da allocate specially for Nia and Abah. So that, Nia tak picky between mommy and abah sangat nanti. Cos even now pon, kalau nak tido mesti nak cari mommy. Kalau abah kiss skit time mengantok, mesti la mengamok marah kat abah dia. Cian Abah. Kecik ati dia. Hehe. Bukanla Nia nak picky sgt, agaknye rimas asyik kena gomol ngen Abah. Kalo da gomol tu, abes kena misai & janggut Abah yg prickly. Itu yg Nia cranky kalo time sleepy tu. Hehe. Tapi Nia faham, Abah loves Nia very much. Sebab tu Abah suke kiss Nia sampai pening kan?

Today, mommy taught Nia to sing. Masa Nia tengah syiok dalam bath tub duk splish-splash water. Kite nyanyi a few songs. Mommy taught you how to sing Twinkle, twinkle. Then we played Row-row-row Your Boat. Later while dressing up, I taught you how to do the Itsy-Bitsy Spider. And finally, when you were about to fall asleep this morning, mommy sang to you the Barney song - I Love You. Abes je lagu, Nia terus tertido atas pangku mommy. Best ke mommy nyanyi? Hehe. Or its so tuneless that I bored you to sleep. LOL. One thing for sure, mommy loves the time that we spend together very much. Nanti Nia da bangun, kita sambung tickle-tickle with Mr Worm again ok Munchkin. Kalo boleh, mommy taknak Nia besar. Nak maintain je baby all the time. Hehe. But at the same time, mommy nak tgk Munchkin mommy ni jadi anak dara. Hehe. Mixed feelings. Whatever it is, Nia always remember ok, that mommy loves you very very very much. And mommy can't wait to see what else that you can do by the time you are 100 days old. XoXo.
